california burgers in utah

On a day I felt a little more homesick for California than usual, Tyce and I drove to an In-N-Out for dinner.  By the time we got there Lincoln was asleep, so Tyce ran in and brought food back to eat in the car.  Don't get me wrong - I love I only have to drive fifteen minutes to get an In-N-Out burger, but it just doesn't seem like it belongs in Utah!  While we ate our food we talked quietly so baby boy would stay asleep, and pretended we were on a little date with just the two of us.

When we got home I made chocolate chip cookies, then forgot about them while Tyce and I watched movie previews on YouTube.  By the time I remembered the cookies they were pretty brown and hard, so we broke them in half and ate the middles while they were still warm.  When I have a choice, I usually stay away from baking projects...but I have to start somewhere, so right now I'm burning cookies!

p.s. I can't agree with you more that bacon does NOT belong on a cupcake. the thought makes me sick.
