baby boy

Lincoln is 6 months old today.  Where did the time go?  I feel like the clock has spun so fast, before I know it I'll be the old lady in the book Love You Forever, and be wondering how it all happened so fast.

A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. But at night time, when that [baby] was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.

And after the third page of the book I have to stop reading, because I know the baby grows into a man and the mother is too old, and too weak, to hold her baby boy anymore.

  5. Super cute blog! I love that book by the way, I read that growing up and hope to read that to my future children. And I also have to agree with you about In-N-Out in Utah, just doesn't seem right. ALthough CA now has Cafe Rio, Cafe Rio does taste just as good here :)
